The General Manager oversees the daily operation of the dispensary and staff, handling the day to day operations of the business, adequately addressing the needs of customers and developing, leading, and training our passionate staff.
The GM will also work with ownership and upper management to ensure the dispensary remains compliant with local and state regulations.
GM priorities include implementing store policies, overseeing and managing product inventory, staff, and assisting in the hiring process.
The GM will also be expected to assist with marketing promotions.
Job Functions:
Ensure the dispensary's compliance with security, inventory and local and state regulations Manage and lead staff to deliver the highest level of customer service Ensure the safety and satisfaction of every customer and employee Responsible for providing a high level of education and development for staff pertaining to medical cannabis strains, edibles, concentrates and consumption mechanisms Set sales, service, and profit goals and lead staff to exceed them Work closely with Inventory and purchasing managers to ensure quality and maintain proper inventory levels Schedule staff, coordinate staffing needs with hiring managers.
Communicate with and lead staff to ensure top quality service to the community Develop operations plans and implement and manage dispensary policies and procedures Document financial, Inventory and customer trends; maintain sales and purchasing reports Manage and maintain dispensary sales and inventory management software Preferred Qualifications/Requirements Associates degree in Business or related experience preferred.
Five years of experience in a retail management environment preferred.
Excellent customer communication and service skills Strong interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills Passionate about serving the cannabis community Strong accounting, math and computer skills Must be willing to submit to a background check Must be willing to work weekends Prior experience within the cannabis community and/or health and wellness industries is a plus Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents relating to dispensary performance, general business periodicals, professional journals, safety, security and technical procedures, and governmental regulations Ability to write reports and business correspondences Job Type:
