Summary:
Responsible for maintaining continuous good operating condition of assigned equipment.
A process through application of expert level skills learned through a specialized training program.
This position is designed to directly report to Manager level and require no daily supervision or support from Maint.

Responsible for investigation of problems/processes in the specific area and implementing recommended countermeasure.
Requires involvement with related internal departments to maintain production targets.
Major
Responsibilities:
Must keep 5S (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to prevent Quality and Safety issues.
Must improve one's capabilities and skills continuously through 5S activity with Spirit of self-advancement.
Must improve current line condition in order to develop Associates.
Must check and ensure quality of part produced against QF-30 document with good results.
(0 scrap) Must comprehend at a basic Engineering level.
Must provide your best effort in creating a Zero defect environment, following the operator instructions completely on all machines in your area.
Must train and increase associates knowledge to accomplish company goals through operator instruction (QF58) and training.
Able to use KPI Index to track and reduce cost.
Insure delivery of product by following PC and Kanban system.
Responsible for eliminating short stop and down time by using Root Cause analysis, Continuous improvement cycle to be effective.
Maintain good communication with team members.
Must be able to effectively communicate process/product problems.
Make and maintain a non-stop line (no short stops, break downs) through kaizen activities, high skill knowledge, Productive Maintenance with minimal assistance from Maintenance/Engineering.
Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the production line through programming, calibration, adjustment, and design change.
Responsible for training and development of associates to achieve same Goals and objectives.
To meet QCDMSE department targets through your best performance.
Q:
Must make only good products to meet Quality targets through Zero customer returns, NPR's, IPR's and scrap.
C:
Must keep and improve Kohsu targets, ROO and minimizing 6 major losses to achieve Dept.
Labor, GE targets.
D:
Able to make and meet delivery through Production Control, Kanban's along with maintaining and improvements of your line condition by eliminating long down time.
M:
Must have the behavior and attitude that will set a good example for others.
S:
Must have constant awareness of your surroundings to prevent you and others from getting hurt.

Need to create a good Environment to accomplish QCDMSE.
Minor
Responsibilities:
Requires effective communication and involvement with related internal departments in order to maintain production targets.
Requires teamwork and participation of company activities such as IATF16949, ISO9001, ISO14001 and Employee Involvement.
Requires shift work and overtime.
Requires working with hazardous chemicals.
Minimum Qualifications for the Job:
Requires High School Diploma or GED equivalent (must fulfill NC State or Federal educational requirements).
Must have 2-Year Technical Degree and/or equivalent experience in an automated environment.
Key Competencies:
Must have the ability to work on similar processes from your current area and be able to demonstrate.
Must be able to demonstrate practical knowledge of employee handbook and be familiar with company structure and philosophy.
Must be able to perform a proficient level of arithmetic in the form of charts and graphs and be able to interpret and analyze them.
Must be able to use measuring instruments.
Must have working knowledge of metric system.
Must have a working knowledge and understanding of hand tools.
Must have mechanical skills.
Physical Requirements:
Requires constant standing and moving 8-12 hours per day Must be able to constantly lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and kneel.
Must be able to apply up to 66lbs push/pull force unassisted.
Must be able to reach overhead.

Responsibilities:
Understand your job responsibilities to perform, monitor and control the process as it affects Quality and Environmental Impacts.
Follow all procedures and work instructions pertaining to your assignment and make recommendations to improve the process, as well as enhancements to the Environmental Management System.
Notify Management immediately when problems or non-conformances are detected.
Appropriately record problem or non-conformance to ensure corrective action and preventative measures are taken.
Assist in the problem solving process, corrective action and prevention activities.
Contain or stop the process as necessary to prevent non-conforming material from contaminating good material or negatively impacting the Environment.
