Advanced Accounting Specialist
Job Description DENSO is looking for an Advanced Accounting Specialist position at the Battle Creek, MI location, This person will provide support for month-end closing requirements including fixed assets, customer owned tooling reconciliation, journal entries, banking, financial reporting and closing requirements.
They will act as a liaison between multiple departments to resolve issues or answer inquiries.

Responsibilities:
Performs advanced accounting functions including monthly account reconciliations, monitoring certain monthly accruals and preparing journal entries in order to ensure proper reporting financials.
Maintains and analyzes fixed asset ledger in order to ensure purchases are classified properly and fall within budget.
Performs and analyzes monthly closing and various daily activities in relation to inventory and cash management.
Ensures internal controls are operating correctly with the goal of zero deficiencies through JSOX auditing.
Performs financial analysis and assists in financial reporting activities in order to ensure proper recording of transactions.
Investigates and analyzes accounting and financial related data in order to reconcile and audit information.
Assists with process improvement activities including maintaining and implementing internal controls.
Acts as a liaison between internal departments and other DENSO locations in order to resolve outstanding issues.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance 5-8 years of relevant experience Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS is required, along with an understanding of current accounting operational structure (financial close, gross profit, J-SOX, etc.
).
Customer-Owned Tooling Reconciliation, strongly preferred.
Salary:
$80,000 - $91,900 Benefits
