Kellogg Community Credit Union has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Officer!The Business Development Officer role is a critical position for the organizationThe Business Development Officer role has overall responsibility to support the business community through commercial loans, deposit products, and accounts.
Responsibilities:
--- Enthusiastically supports the Credit Union's focus on member sales and service by actively seeking out sales opportunities, cross-sell opportunities, and promotes the credit union products and services based on member needs.
--- Develops and maintains relationships throughout the business community by attending various business gatherings and service organization functions.
--- Represents the Credit Union to identified groups and individuals in order to market and promote business services.
--- Promotes and exceeds the Credit Union's service values and standards of a world class experience for members.
--- Originates commercial lending through the interview and pre-screen process for loan requests while ensuring that the request is compatible with the Credit Union guidelinesGathers all necessary documents while working with the borrower, underwriter, and management to negotiate all terms.
--- Responsible for the origination of new commercial products and services.
--- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
--- At least three years of similar or related experience--- Experience equivalent to that of a college degree (BS or BA in a relevant field)--- Strong knowledge of commercial lending terms and practices--- Strong computer skills including the Microsoft suite.
--- Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
--- Effective communication skills, written and oral.
--- Ability to interact with others on a regular basis and build relationships.
--- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
