- Enforce ordinances to maintain public order and safety - Conduct daily proactive and complaint driven investigations and code enforcement; observes properties for code violations.
- Investigate complaints relating to trash, abandoned vehicles, littering, refuse, improperly stored or disposed of refuse, and other related township ordinances.
- Generate detailed reports documenting incidents and actions taken - Provides support for pre-trial and show cause hearings by gathering relevant documents and photos as needed; testifies as required during hearings.
- Meet with public and private organizations regarding the operation and activities relating to the township ordinances and requirements.
- Issue warnings and citations for violations of the various township ordinances.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent - Associates in the following would be preferred; business, administrative, general studies, social science, or related fields - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record - Excellent physical condition and stamina to handle the demands of the job - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations - Ability to learn Township ordinances and interpret them.
- Ability to write clear and concise reports for regulatory reporting purposes Note:
