Assistant Controller


Summary of Responsibilities
Responsible to manage all financial oversight of plant operations to include:
financial planning; performance analysis and reporting; preparation of monthly and annual P & L statements, balance sheets, general ledger and cost accounting activities; capital and operating budget development and statutory reporting for the Division. Provide business analysis to understand manufacturing variance, variable and fixed costs, impacts of productivity improvements and capital investments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee all Division financial and accounting functions to include:
general ledger; financial planning; budgeting; capital investments; accounts payable and receivable; management information systems; cost accounting, etc.
Manage all facility activities and personnel reporting to this position
Maintain effective communication and coordination with all internal customers, plant Leaders and Team Members; maintain positive employee relations; listen to issues and concerns and respond (C48) within 48 hours
Follow the principles of the Employee Charter
Promote and practice safety first by immediately addressing any hazards, defective equipment or unsafe conditions within the department
Oversee and direct Accounting Team Members in safe, quality-minded and productive manner with a sense of urgency to address priorities as scheduled
Support new program launches
Provide motivation and results-oriented environment
Conduct performance evaluations of Accounting Team Members as specified by company goals
Oversee preparation of all necessary Division financial reports for Corporate and Group offices
Ensure Team Members are adequately trained and capable of performing the work required
Ensure all Division financial and accounting procedures are upheld and followed
Interface with suppliers and financial sources as required
Ensure inventories are conducted as required
Prepare reporting systems for other departments' budgets
Prepare all required Division financial information on a monthly and annual basis
Report on status of departmental projects as required
Lead the preparation of Division Business Plan
Prepare special reports and analyses as requested by the Division GM, Corporate or Group personnel
Provide required support to Sales and Engineering personnel in quotations on new or existing products
Stay abreast of new information systems technology
Complete correspondence, forms, and reports in Microsoft Office and other applicable programs
Ensure all Team Member documentation is maintained
Handle confidential information on a regular basis
Encourage safety and housekeeping practices and lead by example
Promote and facilitate Open Door Process and Fair Treatment
Participate in Continual Improvement activities
Adhere to customer requirements, Business Operating System and company policies
Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA preferred)
Strong background in financial analysis, cost accounting, budgeting and forecasting
Minimum of 5
years progressively more responsible experience in the Accounting discipline within a manufacturing environment
Excellent analytical skills
Strong background with information technology
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office
Work Environment
Primarily office and includes manufacturing plant; plant floor characterized by temperature extremes, loud noise and considerable tow motor traffic
The individual must be able to perform all essential functions as appropriate on the plant floor, in meetings and with employees, management, customers and suppliers.
Flexible and additional hours as required

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
