Experience:
One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
High level of knowledge in the installation and configuration of commercially approved and supported Enterprise Database Software primarily Oracle and Microsoft relational database systems; provides expert coordination with application development entities to ensure all database configuration remains security compliant and audit ready. Resolves all problems associated with Security Technical Implementation Guidance (STIG) compliance; performs System Readiness Reviews (SRR) scans on databases and resolves or identifies vulnerabilities for the creation of Program Organization and Milestones (POA&Ms) for any open vulnerabilities requiring additional time to resolve. Diagnose, troubleshoot and remediate incidents and work requests to ensure database system availability and application system operations are functioning within business program service level agreements. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
